Submitting Gift Aid claims to HMRC for qualifying donations.
A claim is a request to HMRC to repay the tax on qualifying donations.
Claim statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | Claim created but not yet ready to submit |
| Ready | Claim prepared and ready for submission |
| Submitted | Claim sent to HMRC |
| Paid | HMRC has paid the claim |
| Rejected | HMRC has rejected the claim |
| Under review | HMRC is reviewing the claim |
Creating a claim
- Click Gift Aid in the sidebar then click Create new claim
- Fill in the claim details:

| Contact | The donor the claim relates to |
| Amount | The donation amount |
| Currency | Defaults to GBP |
| Status | Set to Draft to save and complete later, or Ready to submit |
| Payment date | When the donation was received |
| Funding source | Optional — link to a fundraising activity or fund |
| Notes | Optional |
Viewing and editing a claim
Click any row in the claims table to open the claim detail view. From here you can edit or delete the claim.
