Create a declaration

  1. Click Gift Aid → Declarations in the sidebar.
  2. Click Create declaration.
  3. Pick the donor in the Contact field.
  4. Set the Scope (single donation, future donations, or all donations).
  5. Set the Method (how the declaration was collected — Written, Web form, Oral, etc.).
  6. Add Notes if useful (e.g. reference to a signed paper form).
  7. Click Save.

The declaration appears in the Declarations list with status Active.

Cancel a declaration

If a donor withdraws their declaration, you must cancel it.

  1. Open the declaration.
  2. Click Cancel declaration.
  3. Confirm.

Cancelling a declaration does not affect claims that have already been submitted. New donations made after the cancellation date are not covered.
