Choose measures that match your work

When creating or editing a programme, use Add an objective to choose:

Objective What progress means
Events organised Linked events marked as counting towards impact, counted from creation; cancellation does not deduct them
People reached through events Capacity offered when those events were created, not confirmed attendance; capacity added later is not counted
Cases managed Cases opened for the programme
Something else (updated by hand) Progress you enter yourself

Set a name and target for each objective. Keep the meaning of these counts in mind when describing results to funders.

Add an impact measurement

  1. Open a programme’s Impact tab.
  2. Choose Add impact measurement.
  3. Enter its name and choose Output, Outcome, or Impact as the level.
  4. Choose Count, Percentage, Score, Yes / No, or Narrative as the measurement type, and complete the applicable target and description.
  5. If offered, link the measurement to a data source and metric, then choose Add measurement.

The list groups measurements by level and shows targets and current numeric values. Linked measurements identify their source. Case Management and Events metrics are available; Finance income is marked coming soon. Access to this tab and its add action depends on Impact read and write permissions.

Review results and reports

The programme impact dashboard separates outputs from outcomes and impact. Its displayed totals are measurement counts; do not assume these are sums of measured values or confirmed beneficiary totals.

An existing funder report can be viewed from its report link. It shows its status, framework type, generated date, and narrative sections. With Impact write access, edit the existing narrative sections and save. The current report screen does not offer report creation, adding narrative sections, finalisation, or export controls. If no report link is available, ask your organisation’s reporting lead for an existing report rather than looking for a generation button in Programmes.
